Department of Physics Education, FMIPA UNY Holds Raman Spectroscopy Training with HORIBA Indonesia

Yogyakarta, November 12, 2024 – The Department of Physics Education, FMIPA, Yogyakarta State University (UNY) held a Raman Spectroscopy training in collaboration with HORIBA Indonesia on November 11-12, 2024. This training is a follow-up to the purchase of a Raman Spectrometer by UNY as part of its commitment as a Legal Entity University (PTNBH) in providing superior educational facilities.

The tool was assembled by the HORIBA Technical Specialist team, Mrs. Yhana Mulyaningsih and Patiatit, in the Basic Physics Laboratory, 2nd floor of FMIPA UNY. Mrs. Yhana also provided material on the basics of Raman Spectroscopy and its working principles, so that participants could understand the concept as well as the practice of using the tool.

This training was attended by lecturers from the Department of Physics Education who aimed to support students in improving their academic achievement and experimental skills. With a comfortable learning environment and sophisticated technological tools, this training is expected to produce good learning outcomes and encourage research based on spectroscopic analysis.

This activity confirms UNY's steps in presenting quality education through strengthening facilities and training based on modern technology.
