Primary tabs
Dr. Kuncoro Asih Nugroho, S.Pd., M.Pd., M.Sc. together with physics lecturers of FMIPA UNY namely Dr. Rida Siti Nur'aini Mahmudah, S.Si., M.Si., Dr. Restu Widiatmono, S.Si., M.Sc., Dr. R. Yosi Aprian Sari, M.Sc., and physics students namely Bayu Endro Priyono, Fadly Nurwahyu Hermawan, Insan Chaliq, Putri Diah Sawitri, Syahidah Ulya' Amanina carried out the PkM group research atomic nucleus activity in the form of training activities which are the development of teacher capacity to improve the quality of education in schools. The PkM activity is entitled "Spectrophotometry and Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) Training in Cancer Detection to Improve the Insight of Physics Teachers at the MGMP Physics High School in Yogyakarta City". The target of the PkM activity is the teachers of the MGMP Physics in Yogyakarta City. The implementation of the activities was carried out face-to-face and independently at the FMIPA UNY campus. Face-to-face activities were carried out on June 28, 2024 and July 19, 2024. While independent activities were carried out from June 28, 2024 and August 30, 2024. The training activities aim to provide practical training in the form of technology transfer to MGMP Physics teachers in Yogyakarta City regarding the basics of spectrometry in measuring absorbance, measuring erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) using the Westergren tube method, and data analysis and graphing using software for visualizing measurement results. This activity provides benefits for MGMP Physics teachers in Yogyakarta City, namely broadening their horizons regarding the application of physics in the health sector, improving skills in using spectrophotometry and LED tools, and being able to provide more relevant and interesting learning materials for students. Through this activity, MGMP Physics teachers in Yogyakarta City High School are expected to be able to develop their understanding and skills in applying physics concepts to health screening, so that physics learning becomes more interesting and relevant for students. This practical knowledge and skills can be integrated into the school curriculum, so that students' academic achievement will increase.
