Introduction to Campus Life for New Students or PKKMB is a forum that aims to introduce the learning environment on campus, educational facilities, curriculum, and academic culture to new students. This program was implemented by FMIPA UNY on August 8 and 9, 2024. In the session with the Physics Education Department Management, among others, the Head of the Physics Education Department Prof. Dr. Heru Kuswanto, Secretary of the Department Dr. Rida Siti Nur Mahmudah, Physics Study Program Coordinator Dr. Supardi, M.Si, and Physics Education Study Program Coordinator Dr. Yusman Wiyatmo, M.Si.

During PKKMB, new students are given the opportunity to take part in various activities, including an introduction to the departments, study programs, and laboratory facilities of the Physics Education Department. In addition, PKKMB FMIPA UNY also presents sessions aimed at improving students' soft skills, such as leadership training, introduction to student organizations, and activities that support positive character building.

On the last day, the activity was closed with an arts and culture performance showcasing the talents of new students and performances from UKM (Student Activity Unit) FMIPA UNY. This event is expected to strengthen relationships between new students and create sweet memories as the beginning of their academic journey at FMIPA UNY. With the end of PKKMB 2024, it is hoped that all new students of FMIPA UNY can start their studies with high enthusiasm, ready to innovate, and always uphold the values ​​of togetherness in achieving brilliant achievements.
