The Physics Study Program holds a visiting professor by inviting Prof. Dr. Suriani bint Abu Bakar from Sultan Idris Education University, UPSI Malaysia. This activity was carried out online on 10 November 2020 - 10 December 2020, consisting of eight meetings. The first seven meetings were attended by students from semesters 3, 5, and 7. The topics discussed in the visiting professor included research collaboration and materials-based research.

This Visiting Professor received a good response from students and lecturers. Student enthusiasm was very high, no less than 80 participants attended each daily activity session. At the seventh meeting which was the last meeting between students and Prof. Dr. Suriani bint Abu Bakar, students wrote various responses about their feelings during the lecture sessions that were held. The majority of them wrote happy, interesting, amazing, and fun. It is hoped that this activity can establish cooperation and collaboration in the fields of physics and research, as was discussed in the open discussion held with the lecturers.
