Physics Study Program at UNY Officially Receives ASIIN International Accreditation

This achievement marks global recognition of the quality of the curriculum, learning process, and graduate competencies of the Physics Study Program at UNY.
UNY FMIPA Students Develop Eco-Friendly Nanofertilizer from Carbon Waste
Submitted by admin on Wed, 2025-10-29 10:26Yogyakarta – Students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), have once again demonstrated their commitment to sustainable innovation in science and technology. Through the Student Creativity Program in Exact Research (PKM-RE), the team successfully developed an eco-friendly nano-fertilizer derived from carbon-based waste, synthesized into carbon dots (CDs) and composited with silicon dioxide (SiO₂) and calcium oxide (CaO).
UNY Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Students Utilize Banana Peel Extract to Develop Heavy Metal Detection Sensor
Submitted by admin on Thu, 2025-10-09 08:42UNY Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences students, members of the Student Creativity Program – Exact Research (PKM-RE) Team, have developed an environmentally friendly sensor to detect the heavy metal lead (Pb²⁺) in water. This sensor is based on Cu₂O/TiO₂ Nanotube Arrays (Cu₂O/TNA), synthesized through electrodeposition using a green synthesis approach.
From Waste to Blessing: Dozens of Women in Kranggede Learn to Make Liquid Organic Fertilizer
Submitted by admin on Mon, 2025-10-06 15:09On June 29, 2025, dozens of Dasawisma women from Kranggede Village gathered at Mr. Supardi’s house to learn practical ways to manage household waste. They were taught how to turn organic waste, such as vegetable scraps, fruit peels, and coffee grounds, into liquid organic fertilizer (POC) using simple tools and materials. This activity marked their first step toward sustainably caring for their surrounding environment.

FMIPA UNY Bone_Scaffold Team Wins 3 Categories in the 37th Pimnas Event at UNAIR

The team led by Ivathuszalma (Physics) achieved brilliant achievements through their innovative work in the field of hydroxyapatite-based bone scaffold engineering.
