The food security crisis is a problem that must be overcome currently due to population growth in Indonesia which continues to increase. One way to overcome the food security crisis is to increase productivity in the agricultural sector. In this case, farmers in rural areas are the main producers of staple foods, such as rice, corn, beans, vegetables, and others.

Student Exchange Program (PMM) from the Undergraduate Student of Physics Program, Institut Teknologi Kalimantan in 2023

Five students from the Physics Study Program of the Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) follow in the Student Exchange Program (PMM) in the Physics Study Program, Department of Physics, UNY, for one semester FY 2023/2024. The five students include Muhammad Rizal Fajar (ID 01211002), Rahmatia Khumaera (ID 01211003), Nabbila Salsa Ramadhani (ID 01221010), Tiara Riski Atmayanti (ID 01221001), and Grahtia Derlius Patampang (ID 01221002). These five students took courses (MK) Digital Systems, Quantum Physics, Statistical Physics, etc.

Sharing Experience with Physics Graduates 2011

Sharing experiences in achieving hopes and aspirations with one of the best graduates of the Physics Study Program class of 2011, Januar Widagdo was held on Thursday, February 16 2023 in Meeting Room II, 2nd floor, FMIPA UNY. The meeting was attended by the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dr. Ariswan, M.Sc., administrator of the Physics Education Department, and several FMIPA lecturers.

Off-Campus Lecturer Activities - Yogyakarta Mulia Foundation Consortium

Apart from carrying out their duties on campus, lecturers also have a big responsibility to disseminate knowledge through a series of lecturer activities outside campus. One of the activities of lecturers at the FMIPA UNY physics study program is providing assistance to teachers in schools regarding the use of simulation learning media to prepare for the implementation of the independent curriculum in schools.

Guest Lecture - Threats, Vulnerabilities, Disasters and Disaster Mitigation

Monday 12 December 2022, the Physics Study Program held a Public Lecture with Alumni on the topic "Threats, Vulnerabilities, Disasters and Disaster Mitigation". This public lecture is aimed at students who take part in the Geophysics skills group, but not only that, other general students also have the opportunity to take part in this public lecture. In this public lecture, the material was delivered by alumni of the physics education study program, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Farid, M.S who is a professor in geophysics at Bengkulu University.

PPM Lecturer Activities for Yogyakarta Special Region Vocational School Teachers

One of the obligations of lecturers in the Tridharma of Higher Education is to carry out PPM in order to disseminate science and technology to the wider community. As has been implemented by several Physics Study Program lecturers including, Dr. Supardi, Prof. Heru Kuswanto, Nur Kadariswa, M.Si, Agus Purwanto, M.Sc, Sumarna, M.Eng, Pinaka Elka Swastika, M.Sc and assisted by several students held Arduino microcontroller training for vocational school teachers in Yogyakarta on 14 September 2021 via zoom meetings.

FMIPA UNY Physics Study Program Holds Practitioners Entering Campus

Practitioners Entering Campus is a new activity that brings practitioners from outside campus to teach students. This activity is divided into two categories, namely the Physics Study Program which starts from December 3 2021 to December 13 2021. The event is held online via Zoom Meeting for several teaching sessions with each session lasting 2 hours.

Drawing and Coloring Learning Process as Motor Stimulation for Students by UNY Students in the Context of Campus Teaching Activities

Athi' Nur Auliati Rahmah, an FMIPA UNY student, is one of the Teaching Students of the Class I Teaching Campus program. The Teaching Campus is one of the Independent Campus programs organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture to assist learning in elementary schools (SD) with maximum C accreditation in remote areas of Indonesia. Athi', who comes from Madura, is placed at SDN Guluk-Guluk II, Kec. Guluk-Guluk, Kab. Sumenep, Madura, East Java. He served in his remote village for approximately three months.
